Balmoral Pipes is led by Pipe Major William Cochrane - a distinguished musician and ambassador of the bagpipes. Both as a solo piper and with the band, William has played for royalty, leading figures in politics and celebrities - including Lady Elizabeth Anson - cousin to the Queen, the Minister for Northern Ireland and 70's pop idol Rod Stewart.
A lot of well known pipers, drummers and dancers work for Balmoral Pipes - they have many years of experience playing at variety of events worldwide - including weddings, corporate functions and dinners. They are pictured above on the film set of 'Tea with Mussolini' staring Dame Judi Dench, Cher, Maggie Smith and Joan Plowright.
The pipers always turn out in full Scottish Ceremonial Order with Feather Bonnets. Balmoral Pipes can scale from a 3 piece band (2 pipers and 1 drummer) to a full 20 piece band - contact us with your particular requirements. |
